How do your teachings differ to Eckhart Tolle? And is there a cause and cure of low energy levels despite being ‘awake’ in the moment?
Eddy: Hi Jeddah, I appreciate your sharing. Thank you. May I ask how do your teachings differ from Eckhart Tolle’s “Power of Now” or are they the same, presented differently? While I am awakened and pretty much live in the present, I frequently find myself at a low energy level – is there a cause and cure for this? (Must be not enough sleep “staying awake”).
Jeddah: I enjoyed your humour. The teachings are similar because there is only one truth. The truth can only be accessed (experienced) in the present moment. One who experiences this truth is awake to the reality of each moment. As such, those who have a genuine experience of it are experiencing the same truth. However, the ‘wiring’ on our form gives rise to different expressions of this one reality. That is how we teachers can all say different things but sound alike!
What we believe to be true, both consciously and unconsciously, is activated moment by moment in our experience. Tiredness is a lessening of the flow of energy from source right through the continuum of our energy field, to the physical body. Tiredness is not the problem. It is the signpost. It is saying, “ There is something shutting down the flow further up the line”. It may be that there are subterranean beliefs that are not serving you and the tiredness is alerting you to that. Everything in our experience is mirroring what we believe to be true. Now living in the moment opens the doorway to experience our beliefs as they get activated (manifested in our experience). The sensations we experience are the energetic patterns of the thought being held. The closer our conscious and unconscious beliefs are to truly knowing our being as the One source, the more our sensations mirror that belief in our experience as unlimited energy.
Many many blessings to you dear friend. Keep the world smiling…

Tolle teaches that being in any state is not being in the now. Also, the state of love isn’t love. It’s of the mind, though Jiddah does teach something new how mind and thoughts interplay. In the past, I believed thoughts were entirely of the mind.
I am often asked this as many of the teachings have a similar feel to them. This is not due to any collaboration (I respect Eckhart Tolle very much as a being but I am not familiar with his actual teachings, other than he has made the present moment famous!). Rather it is the experience of being in the same present and describing that same present that makes our teachings compatible. Indeed that is why so many of these teachings resonate with one another. Being ‘awake’ as you say in the moment is not a blanket experience. The awakeness is due to consciousness focussing in the present moment. This leads you to notice whatever is present. However consciousness starts off dim and gradually expands and deepens (it actually gets increasingly built into our energy field the more we focus in the present) so the extent of our awakeness changes as we develop our consciousness. Hence what we notice in the present will grow from initially being aware simply that we are present to the point where it can take in all the subtleties of the present. So low energy levels can be present without us noticing them at first. As we bring our attention to the present, we start to notice what has previously been below our conscious radar. What is also present is the sum total of our use of being up to that point. All the thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, conclusions etc that we carry of ourself, others, life is manifest as energy patterns in our energy field. So initially when we start to become present, we notice this as low energy, or feeling out of alignment. Continuing to be present is a start but ultimately we must understand how the present moment is structured, how it functions and learn of its nature to be able to lift and release these energy patterns. As we do so, the original frequency of our being is restored and we experience what we call ‘more’ energy. Fortunately the light of consciousness brought to rest in the present will initiate that process but it must be kept up, ie: we must remain present.
Now let’s address the other queries… What Eckhart means when he says being in any state is not being in the now is that any slight movement of thought or belief or intent will intitiate a corresponding pattern within our being. We are still in the ever present now (we can’t not be!) but the focus of our attention and the resulting experience will be of the pattern and not the original source from which the pattern is made. So this is really just a case of him explaining that when he says the Now, he means the undifferentiated state of being or pure source, and not just the present moment. So too with love. Our notion of love and the thoughts we use to generate what we believe is a state of love are contructions of the mind and are not the same thing as the existential presence of love (which I describe as being the nature of existence (expansion, light and harmony) in movement. However all thoughts, beliefs and intent of an expansive nature are compatible with the nature of the source of existence itself and so they will produce naturally expansive patterns as a result (which we call the ‘feelings’ of love). It’s helpful to understand how existence operates if we wish to interact deeply with life. But these teachings and all that’s involved take time and practice. We can spend a lot of words on this. That’s probably why Eckhart says just be present. It’s a simple teaching that goes a long way!
My own version is…keep smiling. With heartfelt warmth, Jeddah
These words, to me, make finding truth complicated, restricted to Intellectual understanding. Tolle’s “bible” is the Tao. Bend like the grasses in the wind, use non resistance, patience, simplicity and compassion. Be non judgemental, non attached, this is freedom, which when practised, shows itself to be the Truth. Practising this in life in my view, will make the world understand the Truth, in it’s simplicity.
