Hi Jeddah,
When I was in high school, I had an experience which I have been unable to explain. It was mid afternoon and all of a sudden everything turned into slow motion … including my thoughts. It was as if my thoughts were floating out like bubbles and you could be aware of them. This happened for a few hours. Would there be any explanation to this?
Mike
Mike you were undoubtedly experiencing the unseen nature of existence. From this we can see that our thoughts do leave us like entities and ‘travel’ causing influence ‘elsewhere’. All the more reason to allow our thoughts to be harmonious and kind. That way they can do no harm and only serve the one releasing them and the one receiving them.
Jeddah
Dearest Jeddah.
You are an inspiration. In Seeds of Enlightenment CD 4 Energy Centres I am having difficulty with visualising the energy centre colours (visualisation has been a challenge for many years for me, although I can sense and feel OK); Jeddah can you recommend something to help me visualise please. Also, is the “ray” of colour a single ray (like a bolt of lighting), and if yes where is it directed from? the spine? or is the ray of colour much larger or with a different scope or size? Much love Sam.
Jeddah: Hi Sam, We are all wired differently. So some find it easier to feel, some to hear and some to see. They are all components of our sentient knowingness. So you can find your way into one of them through the others. If you can sense and feel easily, become very conscious of what is happening during those times and you will find that there is a visual component if you require it to be there. However, please know that it is not necessary.
Rays of light are the manifest colour of a particular vibration. They emanate from everywhere simultaneously as does the energy itself. Its scope is infinite. The rays are mentioned for those people who like to find their way into an experience via a visual or colour. If this is not your natural inclination, find your way in through the felt sense of that – without needing to see it. Both work. Just different doors. I wish you all the very best.
Warm blessings, Jeddah
My belief is that the ground of being and all manifestation is love. But my mind can’t reconcile what appears to be the basic cruelness of nature and the suffering it imposes on it’s creatures with this basic belief. I recently watched a documentary about the very loving primates, the Bonobos. Aside from their unusually gentle and loving ways, they showed a primate who lost it’s mother and discussed how the natural response from the group was to psychologically banish it’s orphans. When other primate children in the group treated the orphan roughly, their mothers would step in and rough up or bite the hand of the orphan till it bled. It was apparent that the orphans great loss would result in living a life of being ostracized and abused. Suffering in humans can lead to awareness. What is the purpose of this apparent injustice and suffering seen throughout nature and in humans in a love based reality? This greatly disturbs me. Thank you
Jeddah: What you are witnessing here is trying to be understood rationally by the mind. Notice there are certain assumptions operating that are all based in a thought reality. It is the very struggle of rationalising that is painful. It is the apparent conflict between these assumptions that causes you such distress. How would it be to sit with such happenings without the mind’s interpretation? Immediately you notice a spacious quality enter. This spaciousness allows you to be in the same space as the primate event without the angst. No longer are we looking through the lens of right and wrong, kindness and cruelty, ease and suffering. Now there is an equanimity present.
I do not know why these creatures act. So in this I cannot offer you certainty. However I can offer you certainty in knowing the nature of existence itself. That it is always seeking expansion and self knowing. That is carries out the exact shape and form of the intent influencing it. Who is to say that human actions are not reflected in the animal world? What have we learnt about our own relationship to harming another from this. If it has taught us anything about being more compassionate, more inclusive, more loving, more accepting -then it has served its purpose perhaps.
You have also learnt that you are full of compassion, care and concern for those who are suffering. So in that sense your response is a great teacher, just as the Bonobos themselves.
With love and humility, Jeddah
Dear Jeddah,
I have been working and studying spiritual matter for approx 12 years. I am not sure I know when my heart is open, I have tried many meditations to do just that but I don’t usually notice the difference in how I feel. Can you tell me how to tell if it is open.
Love Leslie
Dear Leslie,
Every experience we have is made up of sensations which are a form of feedback as to what intention/thought/belief awareness is currently carrying out as per our instructions. Every intention/thought/belief is shaping awareness which gives rise to moment to moment experience. When our heart is open, it is usually in response to a intention/thought/belief which has goodwill as its essence. This goodwill causes the energy flow through that centre which lead us to experience expansive sensations. These can be subtle or obvious. In your case it may be that they are very subtle. Or it may be that you are looking for ‘something’ to happen that the mind imagines should be happening and so you miss what is actually happening. There may also be unconscious instructions which doubt that it will work and therefore manifest the lack of experience instead of the experience you are consciously attempting.
Try recalling people/memories/thoughts that bring a sense of gratitude/appreciation and notice your experience. If there is a change in your experience at all, then this is the result of what you are presently holding in your being. Experiment with different intentions and notice even very small changes.
You are designed in such a way that something will be happening. Start to notice what that is and that will allow you to find your way into what is possible. And finally…remember to relax. There is nothing to achieve here. Genuine, sincere and innocent fun and enjoyment relax our being more than any specific spiritual practice.
Heartfully, Jeddah
Aloha Jeddha
What is your take on using a Mantra during meditation and doing japa during the day? It seems to me that since the nature of the mind is to think, one might as well give it something juicy to chew on, rather then the usual worries, fears, etc. What say you?
Hi Craig
Of course, we can do whatever we like as there is no such thing as a right way. However when the mind is constantly ‘employed’ it is constantly activating awareness into some kind of form, even very subtle form. When we allow our consciousness to rest in awareness, the essence of the mind merges back into its pure light nature and does not activate experience within awareness. We are then able to experience the empty nature of awareness directly (which is actually Fullness).
All the best to you,
Jeddah
As a result of listening to your interview cd, I am putting together a group of about nine people based on your wonderful work! I’ve purchased and am awaiting your “Seeds of Enlightenment.” Could you give me any advice/ideas on how to format this group?
Thanks, Joy
Dear Joy,
What a wonderful name!
Thank you for your patience and my sincere apologies for not being able to reply sooner. I took a longer break this winter holiday and am only just now getting back to the many enquiries that came through during that period.
In the accompanying booklet to Seeds of Enlightenment I suggested that participants spend at least a week on each topic, meditating at least 2-3 times during that week. This is to allow time for integration which will increase one’s understanding. Depending on how long the group will run for, you can revise the material repeatedly. Each time you revisit a topic, your understanding will have deepened due to the other meditations. Whether you meet in person or not, you can come together once a week or month to discuss your practice and meditate together. The most important aspect to remember is that there’s nothing to achieve. Just use the meditations to enjoy your being in all it’s beauty. Let me know how you go from time to time.

Dear Jeddah,
I have a question about the validity of practicing as an energetic or spiritual healer and whether this is a constructive form of spiritual work. In my work I offer hands-on -healing and I utilize the model of the energy body and energy field as a way of understanding my clients situation. Whilst I have witnessed some wonderful improvements to peoples health and well-being in my work, at the same time I’m increasingly drawn to the teachings of non-dualism and resonate with the understanding that we are not form, our true nature is not the body. I’m questioning whether in offering healing for bodily conditions, am I in fact reinforcing the paradigm that we are the body? I feel that I bring a consciousness to my work which wards against believing the body to be Real, however I am seeking to be in integrity with Truth and would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
This is an excellent question. Thank you for bringing it to the forum.
It all depends how we approach it – how we relate to what we’re doing as we do it, as you pointed out. Healing recognises that there is more to one’s existence than the body, not least because the healer works with energy to bring about the healing. When we use intent to direct the existential energy bound in form, we are, by our very action, reinforcing that the foundation substance of all form is energy. The healer knows that it is the intent which informs the energy that reorganises substance. So healing as a therapy is immensely supportive of non-dualistic teachings. Notice the conundrum here was created in the mind… for existential energy has no preference…it knows that all existence, energy and the form arising from it, are essentially non-dualistic. It is only how we use our perception of it that creates any duality.
Keep up the good work. Your intention to assist others by seeing Truth yourself is the highest form of healing. Our hands simply reflect this.
Blessings and Light

Hi Jeddah,
I have got your very good course “Seeds of Enlightenment” and it has been a very great experience for me and really i am so amazed at what i have experienced. I just want to ask you a question about the second meditation called intention and feedback, there is something strange happening to me when i hold the intention for peace – my body moves on its own. I do meditation sitting, when i hold the intention i start to automatically move forward and down and sometimes i lean to the right. I just want you to help me find out what this means? Finally, i really want to thank you a lot for all that you do.
Abdurrahman
Dear Abdurrahman
There is nothing to be concerned about. The body often holds many unconscious memories, experiences, patterns. When we meditate in an expansive way, we release these from their holding place. There is an innate wisdom to how the body releases them. It will move, purge, get sick, get hot etc to create that opening. It could be that the subtle movement you experience is such a release. Enjoy the mystery of the body’s wisdom but keep your focus on the Truth.
With many kind regards
Jeddah
Dear Jeddah,
I love your “Seeds of Enlightenment” CDs and listen to them every morning. I try to stay in the moment as much as possible; however, how do I let go of concern over “others” close to me whose lives are very difficult? I help as much as I am able, I realize that it’s not in my control, yet feel guilt when I don’t think about the trials they face each day. Could I help them more if I pictured them as happy and healthy, even though I know that they are not? It seems insincere.
Judy
Dear Judy
That is a lovely question. And one that a lot of people are trying to reconcile. We can assist physically with our donations, our purchasing, our votes, our time. Not only do people have material needs but also emotional, mental and spiritual needs. You can ask yourself “what can I give” on many levels. We can give from the unlimited spiritual resources at our disposal. Certainly guilt is no addition to any burden already carried. Sincere love, compassion, prayer, inclusion does find its recipient. It is one of the simplest, fastest and most effective ways of giving. And we are not limited by time, resources or energy. When your being is full of such intention, it is bringing change as well as comfort and acknowledgement. Don’t underestimate what a person can do for themselves when they feel loved, supported and acknowledged. Every thought we think makes a difference.
With love, Jeddah
Phil: ” why are all these people walking around on planet earth”… especially when so many are apparently here to cause distress and pain to others? I fail to understand how being in the Sea-of-Awareness myself can provide answers to such a paradox.
Jeddah: The key word here is ‘apparent’. The mind cannot make sense of life or the world because the lens it is viewing it through is not designed for that purpose. The mind can only make assumptions on why things are so. And so the answers it comes up with are based on the appearance of things, not the reality of it. The only faculty that can understand such phenomena is the energy that exists in all things -the quantum field, which we refer to as The Sea of Awareness. When we look through this lens, life reveals a very different picture. The pain and distress that people experience is the product of believing in the assumptions of the mind, of allowing these assumptions to create the circumstances of our life without question. The sensations of pain and distress are feedback enough that the lens if flawed, not the energy that created them. Viewed from Awareness, there are no paradoxes. It is not that we avoid or deny such things. They simply do not arise when we perceive from Awareness.
Dear Jeddah,
My question revolves around my curiosity regarding the link between spirituality and sexuality.
I am a lesbian, and find it challenging to completely accept this reality to myself–
I feel guilty that I am, and sometimes feel that I can “change” or become straight.
Why would I want to change what I am?
Because as I experience daily life, I observe members of heterosexual society have a much easier life in retrospect to loving and creating families–I think children are gifts, and the fact that a man and a woman can love each other deeply and produce a child as a symbol of their love forces me to question why lesbians do not have that same privilege if their love is deep and genuine? Is the universe trying to tell me that I am not on the right path?–or that I am not on the path that would grant me more rewards(ie children, a partner to produce a family where the child feels “normal” in school with a mom and a dad rather than two moms).
The truth is, I cannot turn off my sexuality like a switch. I am attracted to women not only on a sexual foundation, but moreover on emotional, intellectual and spiritual levels–which does not equate the same feelings I have for men. Even when I do find certain men attractive, I don’t feel complete in a relationship with a man as I do a woman.
As a seeker of peace, of truth, and as a seeker of a profound union with my higher self,
and the God/Goddess within/around ,is it okay that I am a lesbian?
And if yes, why is it so much more difficult, complex and confusing to be one in this world?
Your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you, “R”
Dear R
I thank you for your question and for having the clarity and insight to express it so well.
I feel the ‘Universe’ is trying to tell you something. If you feel more comfortable and fulfilled in a relationship with a woman, then that is direct feedback from the Universe. By moving into a place of gentle and loving acceptance you will free up your being to be at peace with what ‘is’.
And whilst you feel at present that society does not support you, or any potential children, in this, you are in the position to change that with your own attitude. The more comfortable you become with your own attitude, the more you will educate others and serve as an example. Any future children you bring into this world will draw on the benefit of a parent who is confident and at peace, whether that be in the form of a mum and a dad or two mums. You don’t have to wear your confidence loudly if you choose not to, but at least let it keep your own heart warm. It will serve you for all of your life.
With much warmth and hearty support,
Jeddah
Dean:
Dear Jeddah
I received information today from Learning Strategies on the Seeds of Enlightenment course. I find myself extremely intrigued and interested in purchasing it. To be truthful this has been my first introduction to you. I thank you very much for providing this course. Being that I have been a “seeker” for so long I’d prefer to be a “finder”. I’ve found that in the last three months I’ve been on an accelerated personal growth/discovery spurt. A meditation practice has been rekindled. An interest in learning new ways to utilize my memory has emerged thanks to the Memory Optimizer course that I purchased a number of years ago and have just rediscovered. I’ve dusted off my old Sedona Method tapes in order to propel myself to “let go” of baggage that no longer serves anyone. Can you say anything that would encourage me to “plant the Seeds of Enlightment” in my self discovery library? Thank you.
Jeddah:
Dear Dean, Thank you for your comments. What can I tell you about Seeds of Enlightenment? That it will be far more beneficial to plant it in your being than your library. I say this with a smile but truthfully, what is it that makes the difference between getting information and transforming your being? It is being conscious of that information in your experience. When we are conscious of our being in the present moment, our being reveals its nature to our conscious attention. Then we can truly say we know. That is what the Seeds of Enlightenment is designed to give you. True Knowing. Enjoy the discovery!
With much warmth

Hi, Jeddah.I heard you talk about taking up residence in the heart. I found it interesting that you mentioned this as an example because I had felt this earlier in the week. I really enjoy when I feel the heart center, and I had the idea I would like to be in touch with it all the time. I assume the answer is to spend time ‘moving’ in that frequency to develop the ‘fluency’ you speak about.
Jeddah: Yes exactly, also holding the heart open during all the times one remembers. This has the effect of imbuing your energy, activities etc with heart forces. They literally reorder your environment (of which you are a part). This is what it means to ‘take up residence’ – living with an open heart, because then you ‘live’ in the influence of the heart forces. The heart is a very easy centre to work with. It’s soooo willing. You can almost feel the enjoyment of the heart centre itself when we allow it to flow. That enjoyment says a lot about where we’re heading in that moment.
I had a moment where I saw and felt very clearly how I was stopping several things from manifesting in my life, which the universe pretty clearly wanted to create. In this moment, I saw how it was like a teeter-totter, or a balance point where the desire wanted to manifest, and I was saying no out of fear. What was equally obvious in that moment was that it was nothing more than my intention…saying ‘yes’ to those things and knowing they would occur, which would immediately set them in action and tip that balance toward creation. I felt very powerful after that, like I really did have the ability to create what I want in life by intending it and allowing it to happen. I have read about intention, and I have believed for a long time that focusing your mind on something will take you closer and closer to that thing if you are diligent about removing the emotional barriers which come up. –Rob
Yes, that is exactly right. If we look at the original energy of existence, it is unformed. It is energy to which no thought has been applied. It remains in a state of limitless potential. Now as there is no other form of energy in existence, everything is that energy, including us as human consciousness. So as we engage in thought/intention, the energy that we are shapes itself in order to fashion the thought. That shaping is when we bring the unformed into form. Or another way of saying it would be, we bring the unmanifest to manifestation. That manifestation doesn’t have to be physical form. Any form, energy or physical is a response to thought/intention arising in the original (source) energy. Even very subtle or unintended thoughts/intentions cause the energy to shape itself (that is the nature of thought – shaped energy) so it pays to be mindful of what thought/intentions are dwelling in us. Acceptance of our original design is very helpful in allowing us to be conscious of our thought processes and create consciously out of them.
Jeddah
Hi Jeddah,
Are you familiar with the map of consciousness by Dr.Hawkins? If so, where on the scale of consciousness do you calibrate? If not, it is best material on truth that I have seen.
Dear Ken, I am not familiar with the material, although I have heard it mentioned in the past. I calibrate to the Truth, plain and simple. This means that no matter what we experience in our formed existence, one is simultaneously able to know the levels of truth reflected in each situation. One is able to experience all the resonant states of being represented in the chart and to know the energy that coalesces into these patterns in its original state also.
A distinction I would like to make is that one’s perception determines one’s experience and so as perception expands, the experience of truth is revealed further and further. Therefore, one can experience love at different ‘calibrations’ until one experiences the original form of love. Another important point is that the formative energy of existence is in all things at all times and there is nothing outside of this. Therefore, it is helpful to remember that in truth, there is no scale of desirability in these states. The original state of being cannot be divided or dissected in any way. It also cannot alter its nature. So whilst it can be shaped into different signature patterns, as we see on the map of consciousness, it never changes from its pure form. This allows us to see the beauty of the original energy in all forms. This perspective also allows us to have compassion and understanding for those who resonate differently.
If we place our consciousness on the one energy underlying all states of being, we can partake in the wonder of creation and have complete freedom of movement within that. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to my attention. I enjoyed hearing from you.
Warmly,
Jeddah
Eddy: Hi Jeddah, I appreciate your sharing. Thank you. May I ask how do your teachings differ from Eckhart Tolle’s “Power of Now” or are they the same, presented differently? While I am awakened and pretty much live in the present, I frequently find myself at a low energy level – is there a cause and cure for this? (Must be not enough sleep “staying awake”).
Jeddah: I enjoyed your humour. The teachings are similar because there is only one truth. The truth can only be accessed (experienced) in the present moment. One who experiences this truth is awake to the reality of each moment. As such, those who have a genuine experience of it are experiencing the same truth. However, the ‘wiring’ on our form gives rise to different expressions of this one reality. That is how we teachers can all say different things but sound alike!
What we believe to be true, both consciously and unconsciously, is activated moment by moment in our experience. Tiredness is a lessening of the flow of energy from source right through the continuum of our energy field, to the physical body. Tiredness is not the problem. It is the signpost. It is saying, “ There is something shutting down the flow further up the line”. It may be that there are subterranean beliefs that are not serving you and the tiredness is alerting you to that. Everything in our experience is mirroring what we believe to be true. Now living in the moment opens the doorway to experience our beliefs as they get activated (manifested in our experience). The sensations we experience are the energetic patterns of the thought being held. The closer our conscious and unconscious beliefs are to truly knowing our being as the One source, the more our sensations mirror that belief in our experience as unlimited energy.
Many many blessings to you dear friend. Keep the world smiling…
Jeddah
Anne: I would like some individual guidance on how to let go of being the victim in a scape-goating dynamic in my family? I use the Sedona Method to let go of the feelings and ‘story’ and find this very helpful. If you have further guidance I’d be grateful to hear.
Jeddah: The most powerful tool I have found for turning around any kind of human relating dynamic is to start treating oneself lovingly and kindly, the way we would if we were administering that to someone else (which we often find easier). The key here is to actually extend that kindness to oneself despite any thoughts which tell you that you deserve otherwise (critcism/doubt/worry etc).If you just try to out-think yourself, fighting thought with thought, it stays in the realm of the mind and no transformation takes place. The pain that is felt in human relating comes from erroneous beliefs being entertained, believed in and therefore acted upon. Our physical cells and energy field shut down under the influence of such thoughts because they are out of alignment with the truth of our makeup/structure. When we put our noticing on our gentleness, our kindness, our generosity, our forgiveness, we move into a paradigm (collection of beliefs) that is in alignment with who we really are. This releases the natural flow of energy through the cells and energy field and is felt as expansion, clarity, love, possibility. This is one reason why the Sedona Method works so well, it actually releases the mind from insisting on certain thoughts that do not serve us and allows us to see the truth of what is lying underneath, patiently waiting for our awareness of it.
I would say to anyone in a family situation, remember we are all trying our best and to apply as much love, forgiveness and kindness we can muster under trying circumstances. When we treat ourselves with kindess and love first, it gives us what we look for in our relating with others and so our connection is no longer based on need. When we are full of (self) love, we find that our energy is naturally supportive of others (they do not sense any underlying tension) and the whole dynamic is eased and raised up. I say this over and over but it is worth repeating, the best service we can render this planet is to be in a state of continuous kindness to oneself (despite the mind trying to convince us otherwise) and this releases not only our own self imposed limitations but provides an environment whereby others feel safe, loved and ‘held’ enough to do likewise. We become living examples of mankind’s potential.
I am sending you much love, support and encouragement.
Warmly, Jeddah
Maurice: What can you do for me that I cannot do for myself by engaging in daily meditation?
Jeddah: This is an excellent question. The answer is everything and nothing. Having a teacher who resides in Universal consciousness helps to the extent that we can act as lanterns shining a light on the path and the ability to know where you are in your relationship to Universal consciousness. But we cannot do it for you. You must cross the line in the sand. We can only point out where that line is, which for most people is the tricky part. It is not the daily meditation itself that brings freedom but the paradigm that we operate in. When we are operating in a Universal paradigm, all activities reflect that to us in our moment to moment experience, whether that be meditation or cleaning the car. If our meditation is conducted from this paradigm, it serves to expand our understanding and deepen its integration into our daily lives. If we meditate in the separation paradigm, we will inevitably hit upon the glass ceiling that all meditators reach at some point. The key is to understand which paradigm we are reinforcing and how to move from one to the other. I offer people a very simple and gentle exploration of their Universal origin and we explore how our entire experience is derived from that. Over time, one can integrate this to the extent that we can operate from there permanently.
I hope this has been helpful. Please feel free to respond if you would like further clarification.
Much warmth and many blessings,
Jeddah Mali
I wanted to ask you about was the nature of all your work you’ve been covering and if you could just give an overview of that.
Jeddah: Well that’s a big question. The work I’m doing now, because it has changed over the 20 years as I started off as a healer and I was more of a go between for the spirit world and the human world, but nowadays I’m much more of an envoy. And that job entails bringing through teachings and information on how to wake up and what that means. It is decoding the whole myth about why we are here, I mean, why are all these people walking around on planet earth, what are we doing? What does it mean? And what’s it all for. So its really decoding that for people, and getting down to really, really basic questions, and I see myself now as holding up a lantern, because its getting more and more difficult for people to find their way. So holding up this lantern and saying “if I hold this steady, then more people are able to see and out of that they will be able to make better choice and be able to go further and see deeper.”
Katherine: So are we all asleep on planet earth at the moment?
Jeddah: Yes, well the first thing I wanted to say, if you ask a question from limitation, you can receive an answer from limitation and the answer will make sense, but it won’t necessarily represent the truth. Now the truth is holographic so when we want to talk about the truth its not something that we can just take linear words with and lay it out in a sequential form and it will make sense. Because the part of us that wants to make sense of things is the mind and it is not the mind that understands truth, so that’s why you have this slightly infuriating situation where every time you ask somebody who knows the truth to explain it, they are hard pushed to explain it because usually the questions are formed in such a way that they are formed in words and need to be understood. So when you ask me if everybody is sleeping and if we are all waking up, the answer is yes and the answer is no. If you look at the evolution of mankind, yes there’s a general sense that we are becoming more conscious but we are not going from conscious to unconscious in terms of that we are not going from darkness into light…that journey actually doesn’t exist. The part of us that is waking up is realizing that we are already awake. So we are waking up to our awakeness, and that is very different to ‘now we are sleeping- we get this much information, we do this much meditation, we do this many spiritual practices and then we suddenly wake up’. So that actually is a completely false picture. So the waking up that is happening now is in terms of about perception, our ability to perceive that we are already awake. That’s what’s happening, so that’s the yes part.
